Two women suspected of drugging a drunk man at a club in Thika were arrested by investigators on Saturday.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) reported that a supervisor at the club raised the alarm after observing suspicious activity between the suspect and the victim.
A supervisor, concerned about the situation, witnessed the suspects forcefully dragging an intoxicated customer to a car and forcing him into the driver`s seat.
The DCI highlighted this as a resurgence of the " Pishori Babies" who engage in nocturnal activities in Thika town, Kiambu province.
A supervisor intervenes to stop the man from drinking and driving, but is surprised to find that one of the women sprays an unknown substance on her chest before attempting to "breastfeed" the victim.
The women fled the scene after stealing the victim's bank card and personal documents. After the incident was reported, police from Thika station rushed to the spot and found an unconscious man in the car with a bottle of alcohol with white precipitate at the bottom.
Additionally, pills of an unknown drug were found on the women. The arrested suspect was taken into police custody and the victim was transported to a nearby medical facility.
Investigators seized exhibits from the state pharmacy for analysis. Following the incident, the DCI warned revelers, especially men, to be wary of tempting criminals preying on vulnerable and cash-rich customers.
